How to check and claim your Mivi warranty in India (2026)
Mivi's warranty is 1 year from the invoice date, manufacturing defects only. How to register, raise a claim, track the ticket and get a pickup in India.
Product7 — Track products you own. Claim warranties in one click.
Mivi is a Hyderabad-based Indian brand that sells earbuds, neckbands, speakers and soundbars on mivi.in, Flipkart, Amazon and in shops. When one of them fails, the moment is always the same: one bud stops charging, a neckband dies on one side, a soundbar loses its Bluetooth, and the search that follows is some version of “mivi warranty claim”. The process is simpler than most pages make it look, and two details in Mivi’s policy matter more than anything else. This is the working guide.
The single most important fact up front: Mivi’s warranty is 1 year on every product, counted from the date on your proof of purchase, and it ends on that date whether you used the product or not. It covers manufacturing defects only. And Mivi asks for the product back in its original condition, with the outer box, MRP tags and warranty card. So the two things you need to keep are the invoice and the box.
How to check your Mivi warranty status
There is no lookup where you type in a serial number and Mivi tells you how many months you have left. Mivi’s website and Help Centre do not offer one.
What decides your status is one date, the date on your invoice, plus Mivi’s term. Mivi’s policy says the warranty automatically ends 12 months after the date on your proof of purchase, even if the product was never used. So the practical check is:
- Find your invoice (Flipkart or Amazon order, mivi.in order, or the shop’s GST bill).
- Read the purchase date.
- Add 12 months.
- If today is inside that window and the fault is a manufacturing defect, you have a claim.
Mivi’s Help Centre also has a Warranty Registration form, which Mivi says helps “speed up future claims”. It asks for your name, phone number and email, sends an OTP, and needs a JPG or PNG screenshot of the invoice. The form also explains where to find that invoice:
- Flipkart: go to your order and use Download Invoice.
- Amazon: open Returns & Orders and pick Invoice from the drop-down.
- mivi.in: open Order History, then My Orders, and screenshot the order details.
- Shop purchase: upload the GST invoice copy.
Registration is optional. Nothing in Mivi’s policy says it extends your cover, and the 12 months still run from the invoice date. It is worth doing for one reason: it makes you find the invoice today, while you still can.
If you have already raised a claim, the Help Centre’s Ticket Status option, which opens Mivi’s support chat, is where you follow it. That shows the progress of an open claim. It does not tell you whether a product you have not claimed on is still in warranty. For that, the invoice date is the only source of truth.
Mivi warranty period by product type
Mivi keeps this simple. Its policy says all the products it sells carry a 1-year manufacturing warranty, and it does not split that by category or price. That covers the ranges most people ask about:
- TWS earbuds and neckbands, including the Mivi AI buds, which work with the MIVI AI app.
- Bluetooth speakers.
- Soundbars, including models with a subwoofer.
Mivi now sells a smartphone too, the MIVI One 5G. Phones go through a separate route: the Help Centre has its own “Book for Repair” option for the phone, and Mivi lists phone service centres on a page marked “For MIVI phones only”. This guide covers the audio products.
There is one more window to know about. If you bought on mivi.in, the shipping and replacement policy gives you 7 days from delivery to report a defective product for a replacement, and only 24 hours from delivery to report a product that arrived damaged, was the wrong item, or was missing accessories. You need the original packaging, all accessories and the invoice for this, and Mivi arranges the pickup. The policy is written for mivi.in orders, so for a Flipkart or Amazon order, check that seller’s return policy for the first few days.
The rule is the same as for any brand: confirm the date on your own invoice, and treat the warranty card in the box as the final word for your unit. Not a blog, and not a helpline agent’s memory.
How to claim your Mivi warranty, step by step
The claim is online-first. You do not need to find a service centre for an earbud or speaker; Mivi arranges a pickup, or asks you to courier the product where pickup is not available.
- Find your invoice and the box. Mivi requires proof of purchase for any warranty service. It also asks for the product back in its original condition, with the brand outer box, MRP tags, warranty card and original accessories.
- Confirm you are inside the 12 months. Invoice date plus one year. If it is a mivi.in order and you are reporting the defect within 7 days of delivery, use the replacement policy instead.
- Raise the claim in the Help Centre. On mivi.in, open Help Centre under Support and pick Warranty Claim, which opens Mivi’s support chat. Mivi’s policy says a submitted claim generates a ticket. You can also email [email protected], call +91 8099973333, or use the live chat on the site.
- Describe the fault and try the fix. Be specific. “Left bud won’t charge past 0%” is better than “not working”. Mivi only repairs the fault you report. Customer service first tries to solve it over call or email, and Mivi says it reviews the claim and arranges a pickup for a qualifying product within 24 to 48 hours of the ticket.
- Hand the unit over at pickup. If that does not fix it and the claim is eligible, Mivi arranges a pickup from your address, and the courier collects it within 24 to 48 hours of the pickup being arranged. If pickup is not available where you live, you courier it to Mivi’s warehouse yourself and share the tracking details. Mivi is not responsible for loss or damage in transit when you self-ship, so pack it well and keep the receipt.
- Track it to resolution. The unit reaches the warehouse in about 3 to 5 business days, testing starts within a day, and Mivi says the repair or replacement usually takes 5 to 7 business days. It ships back within about 24 hours of the repair and testing being completed, with tracking details by email. Mivi emails you when the unit reaches the warehouse, when it moves to testing and when the issue is resolved, plus a closure email after delivery.
Two details to expect. A replacement is “an equivalent condition device”, which may come with or without packaging and accessories, and if your model is out of stock, Mivi says it will offer an upgraded model of equivalent price. And Mivi says it has no obligation to finish a repair within a set time, so the timelines above are estimates, not promises.
For complaints, Mivi lists Seminole Electronics Pvt Ltd at SL Jubilee Complex, 3rd Floor, Plot No. 1202, Road No 36, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad 500033, Telangana, as the consumer-complaints address.
Common reasons Mivi warranty claims fail
Claims are not decided on goodwill. Mivi’s policy lists the cases where the warranty does not apply, and a product that falls into one of them is not covered. The main ones:
- No valid proof of purchase. Mivi requires it for any warranty service. If you lose the invoice, you usually lose the claim, even when the fault is a genuine defect.
- Physical or accidental damage. A cracked case, a snapped neckband, a dropped speaker. Accidental damage, abuse and misuse are excluded.
- Liquid damage. Mivi’s policy excludes liquid spillage of any kind and waterlogging. The policy makes no exception for water-resistant models, so do not count on an IP rating to get a swim or a wash covered.
- The wrong charger. Mivi lists using a non-specified charger as a reason to void the warranty, so charge with the cable and adapter Mivi specifies for your product.
- Cut or broken wires. Broken or cut wires are excluded, which matters most on neckbands.
- Unauthorised repair. If the product has been repaired by someone Mivi has not authorised, cover is void. A cheap local fix today can cost you the warranty.
- Wear, environment and power. Colour fading or peeling from normal wear and tear, low sound caused by dust or dirt, damage from pests, pets or rodents, extreme heat or cold, lightning and abnormal voltage are all outside the cover.
Read that list once and the pattern is clear. The warranty protects you when the factory got it wrong, not when something happened to the product. Keep the device intact, use the right charger, and keep the invoice and the box.
The real problem: you’ll lose the invoice before it breaks
Look at how many of those failure points come back to two things: the invoice and the box. Mivi’s warranty assumes that, months after a quick online order, you can still find the exact invoice for a pair of earbuds, and that the box is still somewhere in the house.
Most people can’t. And because Mivi’s cover ends 12 months from the invoice date whether you used the product or not, there is no grace period. Nothing in Mivi’s policy promises a reminder before it runs out. You find out only when something breaks, and by then it may be too late.
This is a tracking problem, not a Mivi problem, and it repeats for everything you own. The Mivi buds, the phone, the mixer-grinder, the router, the smartwatch: each has its own invoice, its own serial number and its own expiry date, spread across inboxes and drawers. Nobody remembers all of that.
That is the gap Product7 is built to close. It is a warranty tracker for everything you own: you save the receipt, serial number and purchase date once, it reminds you before a warranty expires, and it gives you the claim details support needs in one tap. So when a bud dies in month eleven, you already know it is still in warranty and the invoice is one tap away, not lost in your inbox. The claim above (find the invoice, confirm the date, raise the ticket) then starts with the paperwork already in hand. The same habit works for the boAt warranty guide, the Noise warranty guide and every other brand you own, which is the whole idea behind a warranty tracker app.
The short version
- Mivi’s warranty is 1 year on every product, from the date on your proof of purchase, covering manufacturing defects only. It ends after 12 months even if the product was unused.
- To check it, Mivi offers no serial lookup. Read the invoice date and add a year. Registration in the Help Centre is optional; Mivi says it speeds up claims.
- To claim, open Warranty Claim in the Help Centre on mivi.in (or email [email protected], or call +91 8099973333). Support troubleshoots first, then arranges a pickup; repair or replacement usually takes 5 to 7 business days once the unit reaches Mivi’s testing team.
- mivi.in orders also get a 7-day replacement window from delivery for defects, and 24 hours for damaged, wrong or incomplete deliveries.
- Claims fail on physical or liquid damage, a non-specified charger, cut wires, unauthorised repair, colour wear or a missing invoice. Mivi also wants the original box and tags back.
- The one habit that makes all of this easy is keeping every invoice and expiry date in one place, which is what a warranty tracker like Product7 is for.
Keep the bill. Keep the box. The rest is easy.
