mFinley

Delete your mFinley account and data

mFinley is made by MoonProduct. Here's how to delete your account, what is deleted, and what is kept.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open mFinley and go to Settings.

  2. Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.

  3. Type DELETE to confirm and tap the delete button. Google may ask you to sign in again to confirm it's you.

It happens straight away and can't be undone. Tap Export my data first if you want a copy.

Have a Pro subscription? Deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it first in the Google Play Store app: Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → mFinley → Cancel.

Can't open the app? Ask us by email

Email [email protected] from the Google account you signed in to mFinley with, subject "Delete my mFinley account". We delete the account and its cloud backup within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What is deleted

  • Your mFinley sign-in: the name, email address and user ID we received from Google sign-in. Your Google account itself is not affected.

  • Your encrypted cloud backup: transactions, categories, budgets, goals, assets and everything else you backed up.

  • All mFinley data on the phone you delete from (in-app deletion only).

What is kept

  • Subscription purchase records (which plan, purchase and renewal dates, an anonymous purchase ID) held by Google Play and by RevenueCat, our subscription provider. They contain none of your financial data and are kept only as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Delete data but keep your account

In Settings → Danger zone, tap Delete all data on this device. You can also choose Delete my cloud backup too to remove the backup while keeping your mFinley sign-in. If you never turned on cloud backup, your data lives only on your phone, and uninstalling mFinley removes it.
